Tero Civill
Location: Helsinki, Finland

AKA: DJ Coma, Syvä Uni, Easy Coma, Tero Civill pres Coma

Biography

"It was somewhat mid-eighties, when I copied two acid house mixtapes from a friend. Previously I've just listened some punk, synth pop and whatnot, but this was something totally different and I was loving it."

Eventually getting hold of records like 'Beat Dis' by Bomb The Bass encouraged him to spend the majority of his earnings on vinyl, synthesizers and traveling to rising numbers of warehouse parties all over Finland. Finally in 1991 it was his turn to start "resonating the windows".

After numerous underground party promotions, club residencies and great gigs, now he hosts his weekly radio show 'Sunday Coma' running it's sixth year on Basso Radio. He's also busy at the studio, working on new tracks and keeping Aaltomuoto Recordings on the surface. Different productions, released all around the world from Australia to US and naturally Europe, have been heard at sets from DJ's such as Hybrid, Cass, Deep Dish, Slacker, Moshic, Palash (Saeed & Palash) and Dave Dresden (Gabriel & Dresden).

Finnish clubbers have also voted him many times to the top ten at Finnish Club Awards 'Best DJ of the year' category. In 2003 the same awards show brought him a nomination in the 'Best Artist/Producer of the year' category. He has also performed live sets at different events ranging from illegal warehouse parties to massive festivals, including biggest electronic music festival in Scandinavia, Koneisto, as well as Denmark’s infamous Roskilde festival.

During the years he has spent some great moments behind the decks. As his most memorable ones DJ'ing he rates the last Club Pussy night held on the closing weekend of the legendary club Kerma in Helsinki, with Pete Heller and Kimik (U&K). Back to back sets with the likes of Mike Truman (Hybrid), Slacker and Andry Nalin (of Nalin & Kane) won’t either be fading away from Tero’s memories quite easily. Besides that, he has shared the stage with the names such as Tom ‘Superchumbo’ Stephan, Tiésto, Cass, Sander Kleinenberg, Dimitry, Pete Heller, Omid 16B Nourizadeh, Ian Ossia, Tarrentella & Redanka, Rowan Blades, Lee Coombs and many many more.
